CANTAGALLO DURANTE LA PANDEMIA DEL COVID-19. RESPUESTAS DESDE LA ORGANIZACIÓN SOCIOPOLÍTICA Y LA MEDICINA ANCESTRAL
Resumen
El presente artículo constituye una investigación etnográfia acerca de la salud, las respuestas y la importancia de la organización sociopolítica durante la pandemia del COVID-19 en Cantagallo, comunidad amazónica migrante asentada en Lima. El limitado acceso a servicios básicos (agua, electricidad, desagüe), viviendas hacinadas, insufiiente ejercicio de derechos (salud, educación) y poca demanda laboral, han convertido a esta comunidad en un espacio social vulnerable ante la pandemia. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación es describir la situación de la salud (enfermedades, contagios y sintomatologías) y la respuesta comunitaria (medicina tradicional, prácticas de sanación, solidaridad) durante la pandemia. Las etnografías temáticas, sobre salud y organización sociopolítica se sustentan en trabajos de campo durante los meses de mayo a setiembre del 2022. Se contó con 82 colaboras/es que respondieron a los instrumentos metodológicos. El contenido permite reflxionar sobre la capacidad de organización de la comunidad y poner en valor los saberes de la medicina tradicional.
Abstract
This article constitutes an ethnographic investigation about health, responses and the importance of sociopolitical organization during the COVID-19 pandemic in Cantagallo, a migrant Amazonian community settled in Lima. Th limited access to basic services (water, electricity, drainage), overcrowded housing, insuffient exercise of rights (health, education) and little labor demand, has turned this community into a vulnerable social space in the face of the pandemic. Threfore, the objective of this research is to describe the health situation (diseases, infections and symptoms) and the community response (traditional medicine, healing practices, solidarity) during the pandemic. Th thematic ethnographies: on health and sociopolitical organization are based on fildwork during the months of May to September 2022. There were 82 collaborators who responded to the methodological instruments. Th content allows us to reflct on the organizational capacity of the community and value the knowledge of traditional medicine.
