ACOMPAÑAR A UNA COMUNIDAD INDÍGENA EN RESISTENCIA: PARADOJAS EPISTÉMICAS DE LA ANTROPOLOGÍA ACTIVISTA

Resumen

Este artículo aborda el desafío epistemológico que encierra la antropología activista. Muestra algunas paradojas que debieron enfrentar quienes hicieron una apuesta por el activismo al abordar antropológicamente el movimiento de resistencia de una comunidad indígena mexicana frente a un proyecto carretero. Se documenta tanto la movilización de la comunidad como el acompañamiento que hicieron algunos egresados de la Facultad de Antropología de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. La reflxión hecha propone una ruptura epistemológica con el dominio en el que históricamente hundió su positividad la labor antropológica. Se ofrecen algunas “salidas” epistemológicamente viables para hacer pertinente la antropología activista.

Abstract
The article talks about the epistemological challenge that means the activist anthropology. It shows some paradoxes that faced anthropologist-activists to study the resistance movement of a Mexican indigenous community in front of a road project. Th mobilization of the community and the accompaniment of some graduates of the Faculty of Anthropology of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico are documented. Th reflction on these paradoxes offrs a proposal of an epistemological rupture with the domain in which historically the positivity of the work of the anthropology fell. Epistemological alternatives are offred to make activist anthropology relevant.
