FAMILIAS Y LINAJES POLÍTICOS: ACAMBAY, MÉXICO
Resumen
En el presente artículo se analizan los conceptos de familias políticas y linajes políticos en México a la luz de investigaciones etnográfias realizadas en el municipio de Acambay de Ruíz Castañeda en el Estado de México, México. Teniendo como telón de fondo una región históricamente atravesada por el colonialismo se pretende caracterizar una serie de grupos familiares priistas que controlaron políticamente la región a través de los cargos públicos así como la derrota que sufrieron en las elecciones de 2018 ante el partido político MORENA. Por otro lado se describe de manera superfiial una de las comunidades campesinas del municipio y se le da “voz” a la maestra-jubilada Esperanza González, una indigena cuyo triunfo en 2018 por la presidencia municipal signifió la derrota del priismo y de las familias principales acambayenses lo cual podría suponer un cambio en la forma de gobernar el municipio.
Abstract
Ths article analyzes the concepts of political families and political lineages in Mexico in light of ethnographic research carried out in the municipality of Acambay de Ruíz Castañeda in the State of Mexico, Mexico. Having as a backdrop a region historically crossed by colonialism, it is intended to characterize a series of PRI family groups that politically controlled the region through public offi as well as the defeat they suffred in the 2018 elections to the MORENA political party. On the other hand, one of the rural communities of the municipality is superfiially described and the retired teacher Esperanza Gonzalez is given a “voice”, an indigenous woman whose triumph in 2018 for the municipal presidency meant the defeat of the PRI and the main families acambayenses which could mean a change in the way of governing the municipality.
