APROXIMACIONES A LA DISCRIMINACIÓN RACIAL DE LA POBLACIÓN AFRODESCENDIENTE EN EL BRASIL ACTUAL

Resumen

Pese a que la República Federal de Brasil es el país con más afrodescendientes en América Latina y el segundo a nivel mundial, con una población afrodescendiente registrada en 105 millones para 2015, esta continúa siendo una sociedad racista. Este hecho puede evidenciarse en la exclusión de la población afrodescendiente en los espacios de toma de decisiones, su menor acceso a la educación y el empleo, los niveles más bajos de desarrollo de sus comunidades, la falta de acceso a los servicios públicos; al mismo tiempo que, representan la mayor proporción de las víctimas de la violencia letal.

Abstract
Although the Federal Republic of Brazil is the country with the most people of African descent in Latin America, and the second in the world with an Afro-descendant population registered at 105 million by 2015, it continues to be a racist society. Ths fact can be evidenced in the exclusion of the Afro-descendant population in the decision-making spaces, their comparably reduced access to education and employment, the lower levels of development of their communities, the lack of access to public services; At the same time, they represent the largest proportion of victims of lethal violence.
