CACIQUES DEL REINO LUPACA EN LA PROVINCIA DE CHUCUITO DE LA INTENDENCIA DE PUNO - 1786 – 1824

Resumen

Los Lupacas de la provincia de Chucuito nuca fueron dominados ni por los Incas ni por los españoles, preservaron su lengua aymara. En tiempos de la colonia Juli era el centro cultural más importante y su cacique más notable era el Apu Martín Cari o Khariapasa. Los tributos pagaban en forma directa a la corona española y sus riquezas se registraban en los quipus que los visitadores españoles verifiaban. Con el método histórico y el análisis documental sistematizamos nuestro trabajo.

Abstrac
The Lupacas of the province of Chucuito were never dominated by either the Incas or the Spaniards; they preserved their Aymara language. In colonial times, Juli was the most important cultural center and its most notable chieftin was the Apu Martín Cari or Khariapasa. Th taxes paid directly to the Spanish crown and their wealth was recorded in the quipus that the Spanish visitors verifid. With the historical method and documentary analysis we systematize our work.
