Movimientos indígenas, participación política y Buen Vivir
Resumen
El artículo aborda el legado de los pueblos indígenas a los sistemas políticos en Ecuador y Bolivia, su participación en los movimientos indígenas, en los procesos para el reconocimiento de sus derechos y la modifiación de las constituciones en 2008 y 2009 respectivamente. Examina desde un enfoque comparativo las propuestas Buen Vivir y Vivir Bien como paradigma de pensamiento y como plataformas políticas que buscan ampliar el margen de representación y participación indígena en las esferas institucionales. Analiza el papel de los movimientos indígenas que sentaron las bases para el reconocimiento plurinacional, pluricultural e intercultural de los Estados. Como marco explicativo y analítico se recupera la teoría de los movimientos sociales con el fin de otorgar una justa dimensión a los repertorios, recursos y estrategias utilizados para lograr una mayor inclusión en los niveles de gobierno. Todo ello, se analiza desde una perspectiva que recupera el lugar histórico y el aporte de los actores.
Abstract
The article analyzes the legacy of indigenous peoples to the political systems in Ecuador and Bolivia, their participation in indigenous movements, in the process for the recognition of their rights and the modifiation of the constitutions in 2008 and 2009 respectively. It examines from a comparative approach the proposals Buen Vivir and Vivir Bien as a paradigm of thought and as political platforms that seek to expand the margin of indigenous representation and participation in institutional spheres. It analyzes the role of indigenous movements that laid the foundations for the multinational, multicultural and intercultural recognition of States. As an explanatory and analytical framework, the theory of social movements is recovered in order to give its fair dimension to the repertoires, resources and strategies used to achieve greater inclusion at the levels of government. All this is analyzed from a perspective that recovers the historical place and the contribution of the actors.
