PERSPECTIVAS DE LA ANTROPOLOGÍA URBANA EN EL PERÚ

Resumen

La ciudad, volviéndose un escenario central en los procesos sociales del Perú contemporáneo, concitó atención con importante estudio e investigación, dando origen también a la denominada Antropología Urbana. El artículo indaga su desarrollo inicial, revelando los procesos socio culturales asociados a la migración y renovación urbana de la ciudad de Lima. Además, se ingresa también a la etapa de su institucionalización académica, impulsada con la cátedra universitaria, inicialmente, con algunos antropólogos como el doctor Teófio Altamirano, quienes establecieron estudios centrales. Finalmente, el artículo presenta el desarrollo académico de la investigación contemporánea, viendo el campo de proyección del ejercicio profesional.

Abstract
The city, becoming a central stage in the social processes of contemporary Peru, attracts attention with important study and research, also giving rise to the so-called Urban Anthropology. The article investigates its initial development, revealing the sociocultural processes associated with migration and urban renewal in the city of Lima. In addition, it also enters the stage of its academic institutionalization, promoted with the university chair, initially, with some anthropologists such as Dr. Teófio Altamirano, who established central studies. Finally, the article presents the academic development of contemporary research, looking at the fild of projection of professional practice
