LA INVENCIÓN DE LA OTREDAD POR PARTE DE OCCIDENTE: UN ANÁLISIS DECOLONIAL DE LA REGIÓN MEDIO ORIENTE Y NORTE DE ÁFRICA (MENA)ADO DE MÉXICO (UIEM)

Resumen

El presente artículo analiza desde la perspectiva decolonial, los mecanismos utilizados por Occidente para inventar y construir un nuevo enemigo: el terrorismo islámico. Fenómeno que en los siglos XX y XXI responde a la reconfiuración del orden mundial y al intento de potencias occidentales por mantener el poder. Se considera que la construcción de Medio Oriente y Norte de África (MENA), la creación de países y delineamientos de fronteras durante la etapa colonial, respondió a intereses de las potencias de aquella época y la necesidad de obtener recursos naturales. Hoy en día, los mecanismos utilizados son diversos. Se ha desarrollado una cruzada mediática para inventar imaginarios sociales acerca de las sociedades asentadas en la región, que responde a un locus de enunciación construido en y desde Occidente, como estrategia epistemológica para inventar a la Otredad, teniendo como objetivos la neocolonización, dominación, invasión, injerencia, exterminio, etnocidios y genocidios.

Abstract
This article analyzes from a decolonial perspective, the mechanisms used by the West to invent and build a new enemy: Islamic terrorism. A phenomenon that in the 20th and 21st centuries responds to the reconfiuration of the world order and the attempt by Western powers to maintain power. It is considered that the construction of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the creation of countries and border delineations during the colonial period, responded to the interests of the powers of that time and the need to obtain natural resources. Nowadays, the mechanisms used are diverse. A media crusade has been developed to invent social imaginaries about the societies settled in the region, which responds to a locus of enunciation built in and from the West, as an epistemological strategy to invent Otherness, aiming at neocolonization, domination, invasion, interference, extermination, ethnocides and genocides.
